My name’s Mandy

As an experienced and qualified HR Director I can work as your part-time HR Director, providing dedicated, yet flexible HR support, starting from just 4 hours a month, which includes unlimited access to resources such as Contracts, Policies etc. I generally work remotely, so you don’t even have to worry about finding me a desk.

How It Works

  1. We have Coffee

    We begin with a good old chinwag, and get to know each other a little better (after all, we'll be working together for a while). I'll ask you questions about your business, your team, how you like to work and what your end goals are.

  2. The Masterplan

    After our first call, I'll pull everything together into an awesome strategy for you to review. This will be completely personalised for your business. It could focus on how you can reduce risk, solve a problem or even increase profit.

  3. We're a Team

    Once agreed, I'll manage your HR strategy, while you get on with the things you do best. We'll have regular calls to make sure you're happy with everything and I'll be on-hand to provide you with support and advice as needed.

I appreciate things can change, so I like to be flexible. If something urgent comes up during the month, (like someone resigns or there's an employee issue) just let me know and I’ll focus on that instead. Alternatively, you can request to add additional hours for a specific month.

I'll be your go-to HR person, so if you have questions, need advice or just want to vent after a tough day, I’ll be there to help.

  • Can you help with a one-off project?

    Yes. My Part-Time HR Director service can be used for one-off projects and for ongoing support. Give me a call or drop me an email to let me know what you’re looking for, and I can advise you further. Also, check out my bundle offers, which are essential popular projects at a fixed price.

  • Are you experienced and qualified?

    Yes. During my career, I’ve worked for a variety of companies, in very senior HR roles. I’ve also led a team of 25 people myself. I have a Masters in HR Management, a degree in Business Studies, and I’m fellows accredited by the CIPD (which basically means I’ve proven myself as an HR Director).

  • What can I expect for 4 hours work a month?

    It depends on your business needs, but as I have a library of resources, and a lot experience dealing with a wide variety of issues, so you will definitely get value for money. Feel free to check out my testimonials or you can trial this service for 30 days, to see if it’s for you.

  • If I work with you, am I tied in for months?

    No. This is a flexible service, and there is no lengthy contract to sign. To begin with, I offer a 30-day trial to ensure this service will be valuable for you. After that it’s just one month’s notice if you wish to cancel. It’s important to me that I’m continually adding value to your business. 

  • Are you just virtual / remote or can you work from my office?

    Generally, this is a virtual service, which means I work remotely from my office. But, if you wanted me to work from your office this is a possibility, subject to your location. I’m based in Milton Keynes and travel to London on a regular basis. Please get in touch and we can discuss your requirements further.

  • Can you help with HR systems / software?

    Yes. I have lots of knowledge of the best HR systems. There are some amazing ones, and some clunky ones. I can help you map out your requirements and put you in touch with awesome companies, which have the same values as us.

  • Can I increase or decrease my hours if needed?

    Generally, we would agree a set number of hours each month. If you wanted to reduce your hours, it’s just 30 days’ notice. If you want to increase them for just one month, because you have additional work then I will do my best to accommodate your request.

  • How is an HR Manager different to a HR Director?

    Generally, I can offer more strategic support, such as creating strategies to help you grow faster, boost performance or going transformation or change. You don’t have to find different HR providers for different things. I take care of the big and the small things for you.
