Why I set up HR Refresh
Having worked as an HR Director for big corporates for most of my career, it was only when I started helping some friends who ran small businesses that I realised how traditional HR consultancies and even ACAS are no longer helpful.
As a small business owner, when you need urgent HR advice, you don’t want to speak to someone in a call centre, that has no real-world experience or never managed a team. And if you only need support on an ad hoc basis, you probably don’t want to sign up to lengthy subscriptions.
So in 2017, I decided to set up HR Refresh with the aim of offering HR support and leadership coaching to smaller businesses that would really benefit from my HR experience and expertise. Ultimately, a personalised service that’s ‘refreshingly different’ from traditional HR consultancies and is based on offering quality HR support in a flexible, affordable and convenient way. A service where you don’t speak to lots of consultants. You always work directly with me.
Now I work with amazing companies, in a variety of sectors including Fin-Tech, Charities, Education, Retail and Creatives and I create downloadable tools and templates to help my clients save time and avoid costly mistakes
